What people do not know, is that they could have certain metabolic imbalances in their body that are contributing to this and the sooner you treat them, the sooner you will begin losing weight.

The first imbalance is called nutritional deficiency. This deficiency essentially makes a person crave for a specific vitamin or mineral that his body is lacking. The person experiencing will crave for these kinds of food, making it more difficult for him or her to lose weight. To counter this, make certain you consume a balanced diet and augment it with multivitamins daily.

Lack of sleep can also be a factor why you cannot lose weight. What a lot of people do not get is that our body triggers the production of growth hormones while we are asleep, in that way improving insulin sensitivity. This reduces the tendency of your body to make fat. In addition our sleep affects our appetite controlling hormones called leptin and ghrelin. To obtain the full benefit of sleep, I recommend you still sleep around 8-9 hours. Our body just requires this sufficient time in order for it to preserve a normal balance of hormones.

Carnitine deficiency is also one of these factors. This forces your body to transfer some calories into fat, making it unattainable to actually lose fat. Fortunately, there are certain products that can really treat this kind of deficiency. Simply take some carnitine daily and make sure to induce one for every meal.

Lastly the final thing is yeast overgrowth. An increase in fungus really contributes to both sugar cravings and weight gain. Some general symptoms of yeast overgrowth are gas, bloating, and diarrhea. It is wise to call your doctor if you are having any of the above symptoms. Do not try to self treat yourself as you might end up worsening your condition.

That covers all the metabolic causes why your body at times cannot lose weight even with all your efforts. Knowledge is the first step, though you still have to be strong-minded to really see some effects. One should stay disciplined if you really want to achieve your goals, just like in all things. It is a long process but in the end, all your efforts will be worth it. After all, it should not be worth it without pain right?
